COLORADO DIVISION OF INSURANCE RELEASES PRELIMINARY 2017 SMALL GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE RATE FILINGS

On June 6, 2016 The Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI), released the preliminary 2017 small group health plans and premiums. It is important to note that the information below on the number of plans and the requested premium changes for 2017 is preliminary. The information only reflects what the carriers have requested, not the final approved plans for 2017. Any requested rate has to be justified by the insurance carrier and approved by the DOI.

The DOI anticipates completing its review and analysis in late September / early October, and will notify carriers of the approved plans for 2017. Carriers will then need time to finalize their information and distribute final plans and rates through their marketing channels. 360benefits will continue to monitor the market and will notify our clients as soon as we have final information.
